16th Annual Chronicle Herald Parade of Lights Names 2011 Marshals
Over 100,000 spectators will line the streets of Downtown Halifax for the most anticipated holiday event of the year, the 16th Annual Chronicle Herald Holiday Parade of Lights, presented by EastLink TV and Downtown Halifax Business Commission, on Saturday, November 19, beginning at 6:00 pm. This year, members of the Chisholm Youth Services have been named the official 2011 Parade Marshals. For over 40 years, the Chisholm Youth Services has been providing support, residential care, counseling and other services to young women who are in need.

TRAFFIC NOTES:
- Timed street closures will occur along the parade route.
- There is no parking permitted along the parade route.
- Expect traffic and parking delays in the downtown core.
- Consider using Metro Transit. For transit information, call 490-4000.
- There will be additional ferry service between downtown Dartmouth and downtown Halifax.
- Centre lane traffic on the bridge will be altered to accommodate two lanes of traffic coming into Halifax before the event and two lanes of traffic heading into Dartmouth after the event.
- Please keep children safely on the curb and off the street during the parade.
- The parade will proceed regardless of weather conditions.
